A series of classes on combating online fraud has begun at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The initiative involves cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine and the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The first session was conducted by Major of Police Dmytro Danchenko, Head of the Cybercrime Counteraction Department in Dnipropetrovsk Region of the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
During the class, cadets were introduced to the main types of internet fraud, learned to identify the typical signs of fraudulent schemes, explored risk factors, and studied methods of preventing cybercriminal activity.
Special attention was given to practical skills: how to recognize fake messages, verify suspicious websites, and protect personal data.
Such educational initiatives help shape the digital awareness of future law enforcement officers and enhance their ability to respond effectively to modern challenges in the information environment. The training sessions will continue.
