The Global Road Safety Week is underway in Dnipro. Representatives of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs joined the activities.
Representatives of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists in Preventive Activity Units of the National Police of Ukraine, together with officers from the Juvenile Prevention Sector of the Dnipro District Police Department and staff from the State Emergency Service, visited Gymnasium No. 83 in Dnipro. The event welcomed primary school students, for whom the officers had prepared a talk and an engaging road safety quest game.
Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Process, Doctor of Philosophy in Law, Senior Police Lieutenant Karina Pisotska, and Inspector of the Juvenile Prevention Sector, Senior Police Lieutenant Diana Tataryntseva, explained to the children how to cross the street safely, where it is appropriate to ride scooters, and why reflective elements are essential. Special attention was given to the causes of traffic accidents involving children.
During the event, students participated in a quest where they played the roles of traffic controllers, pedestrians, and road users. The game sparked positive emotions and helped the children better absorb vital safety rules.
At the end of the meeting, police officers once again emphasized the importance of following traffic rules, especially in the context of modern urban traffic. The participants gained new knowledge and motivation to be careful and responsible pedestrians.
The event took place within the framework of the Global Road Safety Week and is part of the systematic preventive efforts by the police and DSUIA aimed at improving the safety of children in the transport environment.
