The event took place at the “Eternal Flame” memorial.
The ceremony was attended by regional and city leaders, heads of law enforcement agencies, representatives of the public, and local residents.
Following the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, those present honored the memory of the fallen in that tragic war with a minute of silence.
Among the participants was Oleksandr Morhunov, Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) and Police Colonel. The flower-laying ceremony served as a symbol of deep respect for the heroism of those who fought against nazism.
Remembrance and Victory Day over Nazism in World War II (1939–1945) reminds contemporaries and future generations of the cost of freedom, the courage of heroes, and the importance of preserving peace for Ukraine’s prosperity.
