Table tennis has gained popularity not only in Dnipro but also in the Solone Territorial Community of Dnipropetrovsk Region.
The sport improves coordination, enhances cardiovascular and respiratory function, and has an extremely low risk of injury, making it especially suitable for the athletic rehabilitation of military veterans.
This time, the Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov, joined the training. He welcomed the athletes and emphasized that the university’s involvement in the rehabilitation process of veterans will continue.
For over a year now, in cooperation with the Department of Special Physical Training of DSUIA, the training sessions have been conducted by the Ukrainian Table Tennis Champion Vasyl Koval.
Beyond its broad sporting potential, table tennis also helps improve cognitive function, as players must make split-second decisions when responding to the ball.
The event was held as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ “Friendly Support” project initiated by the Department of Education, Science, and Sports.
