Representatives of the public organization “MARTIN Club” took part in the event.
The training was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure in cooperation with the Department for Qualification Improvement and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of DSUIA.
The purpose of the session was to raise awareness among law enforcement officers and to develop effective interaction algorithms for providing assistance to individuals affected by offenses, particularly domestic and gender-based violence.
During the session, participants discussed key topics: recent changes in legislation regulating police actions in cases of violence; a step-by-step response algorithm; mechanisms of cooperation with other institutions; practical tools for providing initial assistance; and principles of effective communication with victims.
Representatives of the “MARTIN Club” emphasized that such initiatives are an important step toward creating a safe environment in Ukraine. Cooperation between public organizations and law enforcement bodies enhances professional training and improves the effectiveness of assistance provided to victims.
Participants agreed that such sessions contribute to the professional development of patrol officers, help strengthen public trust in the police as a human rights–protecting institution, and promote a sensitive approach to addressing issues of violence.
