Criminal Analysis in Action: Binary Class for DSUIA Cadets

Second-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the event.

The class, held as part of the study of the discipline “Criminal Analysis,” was organized by the Department of Operational and Investigative Activity.

The cadets were addressed by Senior Inspector of the Analytical Work Department of the Criminal Analysis Unit of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Senior Police Lieutenant Yana Lazareva.

The cadets became acquainted with unified, state, and unique registries used in the professional activities of analysts. Special attention was given to the specifics of searching for information within these registries, particularly the methods of effective data access and analysis. Yana Lazareva provided practical examples of analysts’ involvement in solving crimes, demonstrating how registries help identify patterns and support operational work.

Such classes contribute to the development of cadets’ professional skills, deepen their knowledge of modern analytical tools, and strengthen cooperation between DSUIA and the National Police.
