To mark International Museum Day, celebrated annually on May 18, cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in a series of themed excursions.

The students visited the DSUIA Museum, where they attended a lecture delivered by the head of the university’s veterans’ organization, Leonid Kamyshov. Participants learned about the history of the university, its leadership, notable alumni, and veterans. Special attention was given to photographs that preserve the memory of important events and individuals connected to DSUIA’s development.

Leonid Kamyshov shared his own service experience and emphasized the importance of preserving historical heritage and educating the younger generation with respect for the past. He highlighted the role of museums as centers of national memory and cultural identity.

As part of the cultural and educational program, the cadets also visited the Central City Library of Dnipro. The future law enforcement officers attended a lecture on modern trends in the field of library science, the role of libraries in the information society, and their contribution to the country’s cultural development. They also explored an exhibition dedicated to Vyshyvanka Day and viewed a collection of porcelain dolls titled Magical Lady.

According to the organizers, such events contribute to the development of professional awareness among youth and deepen their understanding of the history and traditions that shape the Ukrainian law enforcement environment.
