Cadets of the second year at the Faculty of Training for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine continue their practical training within a series of sessions on criminal analysis.
The latest session was conducted by Senior Police Lieutenant Mykyta Busenko, Deputy Head of the Analytical Work Division of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Donetsk Region Police Headquarters.
The topic of the session was “Using the WAR Analytics Software Suite.” During the lecture, Mykyta Busenko explained the basic principles of working with this software, its functionality, and search tools. In particular, cadets were shown how WAR Analytics can be used to search for information about individuals, events, objects, and their interconnections; how to build analytical graphs, filter and systematize large data sets, and create visual diagrams to assist in solving crimes and identifying criminal networks.
This session became an essential part of the professional training of future criminal analysts, as it familiarized cadets with modern digital tools actively used in operative and investigative work. It also helped develop a practical understanding of the analytical component of criminal police units’ activities within the National Police of Ukraine.
