The event brought together cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, students of the Netherlands Police Academy, and active police officers.
The aim of the meeting was to exchange experiences in police training, discuss the specifics of law enforcement practices, and establish intercultural dialogue between future and current professionals.
During the meeting, representatives from both sides shared insights on internship processes, approaches to developing professional competencies, and the challenges they face in their daily work.
DSUIA cadets introduced their Dutch colleagues to the Ukrainian police training system, highlighting recent changes in the educational process and service activities due to martial law. Special attention was given to the challenges faced by Ukrainian law enforcement officers during the war: new types of threats, working in high-risk environments, and psychological preparedness.
Representatives of the Netherlands Police Academy answered numerous questions from Ukrainian cadets, particularly about patrol organization, use of weapons, equipment specifics, the police vehicle fleet, and common types of crimes.
Participants also focused on the importance of international police cooperation in the face of global challenges. It was emphasized that effective communication and the exchange of experience among police officers from different countries contribute to enhancing international security.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of open dialogue, mutual respect, and professional engagement.
