An elective criminal law class was held for third-year students of the Faculty for Training Specialists in Pre-trial Investigation of the National Police of Ukraine.
During the session, the cadets studied key aspects of violations of international humanitarian law, particularly those related to the protection of civilians during armed conflicts. Special attention was given to the analysis of landmark cases from the practices of national courts and the International Criminal Court, which have become crucial in the fight against war-related criminal offenses.
The class provided cadets with a deeper understanding of the legal consequences of crimes against humanity and the role of international mechanisms in ensuring justice. Training specialists who can operate in accordance with international law remains one of the university’s educational priorities, as legal awareness is fundamental to effectively responding to today’s security challenges.
