A meeting of the Academic Council of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was held under the chairmanship of the Rector, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov.
The academic title of Associate Professor was awarded to Police Lieutenant Colonel Rostyslav Molchanov, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, and he received the corresponding certificate.
Vadym Latyshev and Danylo Prykhodko were awarded PhD diplomas.
On the occasion of Science Day, the Academic Council’s Certificate of Appreciation was presented to:
● Olena Shkurko – Senior Researcher of the Scientific Research Coordination Division, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor;
● Olena Protsenko – Researcher of the Scientific Research Coordination Division, Senior Police Lieutenant;
● Iryna Dziuba – Head of the Department of Administrative and Legal Disciplines and Public Administration, PhD in Law;
● Olha Kulinich – Head of the Department of Theory of State and Law, PhD in Law, Associate Professor;
● Oleksii Petrushyn – 3rd-year cadet, Faculty of Pre-trial Investigation Training;
● Anna Terekhova – 3rd-year cadet, same faculty;
● Mariia Khlivna – 3rd-year cadet;
● Yuliia Tolmachova – 2nd-year cadet;
● Andrii Koliada – 1st-year cadet;
● Rostyslav Khomenko – 2nd-year cadet, Faculty of Criminal Police Training;
● Diana Rukina – 4th-year student, Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education;
● Anton Naumyk – 3rd-year student, same institute.
In addition, the meeting addressed several important issues related to the university’s activities. These included a discussion on the implementation of the Work Plan of the Council of Young Scientists for the 2024/2025 academic year, a review of the Rector’s Control results, and a summary of career guidance efforts.
The Council also approved the establishment of one-time specialized academic councils for public dissertation defenses leading to the PhD degree, adopted the Regulation on the Summer Field Training Camp (educational practice) of the Dnipro Lyceum for Security and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev, and recommended several educational and methodological materials for publication.
