Dnipro Welcomes France’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

On May 29, 2025, Dnipro hosted an official reception for Gaël Veyssière, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine. Ihor Magdalina, First Vice-Rector of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), attended the event.

Held at the Dnipro Center for Contemporary Culture, the event provided a platform for a friendly meeting, allowing participants to engage with the Ambassador and his team.

During the discussion, Ihor Magdalina introduced the Ambassador to DSUIA’s activities as the region’s only higher education institution with specific training conditions. He highlighted challenges in police education under martial law, emphasizing innovative teaching methods, crisis management training, stress resilience development, and practical skills for law enforcement officers. Tetiana Chumachenko, Head of DSUIA’s International Cooperation Department, also participated.

Gaël Veyssière expressed admiration for the university’s work in challenging conditions, underscoring the importance of international cooperation and affirming the Embassy’s support in fostering partnerships with French educational institutions of similar focus.

The event strengthened DSUIA’s ties with international partners, promoting experience exchange and educational initiatives.
