The event was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training at the initiative of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) leadership.
Billiards serves as a valuable tool for military veterans’ rehabilitation, promoting physical and psychological recovery. The game enhances coordination, precision, and concentration, particularly beneficial for veterans. Its low physical intensity ensures safe training, improving fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Psychologically, billiards reduces stress and helps manage post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms by focusing on game strategy. Group sessions foster socialization, creating a friendly atmosphere that supports veterans’ reintegration into civilian life.
The training was led by billiards Master of Sports Oleksandr Bondar and military veteran, coach at a comprehensive youth sports school, Serhii Kyrychenko. They shared game techniques, revealing secrets of proper form and strategic approaches to competitions.
The event was attended by DSUIA First Vice-Rector Ihor Magdalina, who engaged with participants, wishing them an enjoyable training and exciting game.
The event took place within the “Friendly Support” project of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
