The event was organized by Marina Lohinova, a lecturer at the Department of Civil Law Disciplines, Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, and Police Captain.
At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a practical session in the format of a simulated court hearing within civil proceedings was held for 2nd-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.
Cadets explored the specifics of conducting court hearings based on the subject of the dispute, the sequence of procedural actions, stages of substantive case review, evidence examination, judicial debates, and decision-making. Emphasis was placed on analyzing courts’ legal positions and developing personal argumentation.
The simulation helped cadets reinforce theoretical knowledge, fostering critical and analytical thinking, enhancing communication skills, and improving their ability to operate effectively in conditions close to professional practice.
The practical skills acquired during the session will be a vital component in preparing cadets for their future service in law enforcement.
