The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure in collaboration with the Unit for Professional Development and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning.
The binary session, held for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, featured Senior Lieutenant of Police Ruslan Chepizhnyi, Inspector of the 1st Platoon, TOR Company, Kremenchuk Patrol Police Battalion, Patrol Police Department in Poltava Oblast.
At the training ground, under the theme “Preventing and Countering Domestic Violence,” Ruslan Chepizhnyi guided cadets in practicing response skills for domestic violence cases. The focus was on safety measures during conflicts, developing action plans for recurring threats, particularly when a military service member is involved.
The officer emphasized recognizing signs of violence, seeking timely help, protecting oneself, children, and family members, and collecting quality evidence to hold perpetrators accountable.
Special attention was given to referring survivors to relevant services or organizations providing professional assistance and support.
Participants gained practical knowledge on responding to domestic violence situations, applying tools, knowledge, and skills acquired during their training.
