As part of the “Criminal Procedure” course, an elective session was held for third-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The purpose of the session was to reinforce practical skills related to entering data into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (URPTI), maintaining records of criminal proceedings, and monitoring their progress.
Under the guidance of Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Police Lieutenant Colonel Denys Yurieiev, the cadets became acquainted with the functional capabilities of the URPTI, the procedure for generating extracts, making changes to records, and the step-by-step actions of an investigator when registering a criminal offense.
Special attention was paid to the accuracy of the data entered, compliance with procedural deadlines, and the analysis of common mistakes.
As a result, cadets improved their proficiency in using the electronic system and recognized the importance of timely, complete, and accurate data entry into the URPTI to ensure effective oversight of criminal investigations.
Such sessions are an integral part of professional training for future law enforcement officers, fostering a high level of legal awareness and professional responsibility.
