The event was held for 2nd-year cadets of the Research and Training Institute for Training Specialists for Preventive Activities Units of the National Police of Ukraine, focusing on the discipline “Organization of Convoy Unit Activities.”
The session was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) in collaboration with the Convoy Service Unit of the Preventive Activities Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Practical officers—Captain of Police Yevhen Kutin, Commander of Company No. 1, Convoy Battalion No. 1, and his deputy, Major of Police Viacheslav Berendieiev—evaluated the cadets’ knowledge and skills. They assessed compliance with legislation governing the escort of detained, remanded, and convicted individuals, convoy techniques, and convoy duties in courts.
The officers praised the cadets’ thorough knowledge, emphasizing that convoy service is complex, hazardous, and demands heightened attention. Convoy officers must be composed, confident, impartial, physically fit, able to protect themselves, and, if needed, provide first aid.
