NEWS

As part of ongoing cooperation with the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, and with the aim of enhancing the practical component of the educational process, DSUIA cadets and representatives of the Police Academy Training and Practical Center took part in the activities of the Educational Safety Service of the Kamianske District Police Department.

Joining the educational mission of the ESS inspectors were students of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists in Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as senior police lieutenant and lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Process, Kristina Derevyanko, and trainees of the “Police Academy.”

The purpose of the visit was to introduce cadets to the work of the Educational Safety Service, community police officers, and forensic experts. Under the supervision of Police Major Roman Lisnyi — Deputy Head of the Educational Safety Service of the Kamianske Police Department — a briefing was held on safety measures and the fundamentals of regulatory legal acts. After that, the participants were assigned to 16 educational institutions in the city.

During the event, cadets had a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the work of forensic experts in a mobile laboratory and to assist schoolchildren in recording fingerprints for a simulated dactyloscopic examination.

Working in tandem with community police officers, the cadets conducted preventive sessions on safety at home, during leisure activities near water, and while using public transportation — especially in the summer period. They also led sessions on cybersecurity and combating cyberbullying.

Special attention was given to the topic of road safety: several interactive stations were prepared for schoolchildren, modeling real-life traffic situations, explaining key traffic rules, and demonstrating appropriate response methods in various conditions. Children also learned about the equipment used in a police service vehicle.

An important part of the event was the joint training session with representatives of the State Emergency Service, during which students learned emergency response algorithms and how to properly contact emergency services.
