Cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs actively cooperate with city volunteers.
One of the key initiatives that future law enforcement officers join is weaving camouflage nets for Ukrainian defenders.
Cadets from the 2nd year of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine took part in creating a new batch of nets. At the “Vuzlyk Dopomohy” (Knot of Help) center, they cut fabric and then sorted the strips by colors best suited to the chosen landscape. The cadets are very familiar with the weaving technique, as volunteering is one of the key priorities of their extracurricular activities.
“This work has not only practical but also deep moral significance. Camouflage nets woven by hand help provide the military with effective shelter, save lives, and allow them to remain unnoticed during combat operations. Every knot, every hour of work is another contribution to the defense effort,” the cadets comment.
The cadets also continue sewing pillows and mattresses. The initiative is carried out under the leadership of the university and in cooperation with volunteers and local entrepreneurs who provide fabric, fillers, and other necessary materials. All produced equipment is handed over to military units serving in eastern and southern Ukraine.
The university is proud of the cadets who do not stand aside and demonstrate an example of strong civic position, responsibility, and patriotism.
