Professional Ethics: DSUIA Instructors Conducted Training for National Police Representatives

The event, attended by heads of structural units of the Main Directorate of the National Police, focused on issues of gender equality, non-discrimination, and adherence to the Rules of Ethical Conduct for police officers in their official duties.

The opening remarks were delivered by the Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Colonel Yurii Merdenov. He emphasized that under the legal regime of martial law, these topics are becoming increasingly relevant, especially for officials of the National Police.

The training was led by DSUIA academic staff — Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, Senior Police Lieutenant Karina Pisotska, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, Senior Police Lieutenant Khrystyna Derevianko.

Together with the participants, they systematized and deepened knowledge on the concepts of gender and non-discrimination, as well as reviewed key legal and regulatory documents governing gender equality, non-discrimination, and compliance with the Rules of Ethical Conduct for police officers in their professional activities.

During the dialogue, current gender-related issues were identified, and potential solutions were proposed.
