DSUIA Supports Veterans’ Recovery through Adaptive Sports Training

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Training sessions are conducted by the Department of Special Physical Training of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

Adaptive training for military veterans continues at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

Individually tailored exercises help veterans regain physical fitness after injuries, strengthen muscles, improve coordination and endurance. The sessions help reduce chronic pain, support cardiovascular health, lower stress levels, and assist in overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder.

Group training fosters an atmosphere of support, contributing to social reintegration, where the “peer-to-peer” principle works in practice, allowing defenders to communicate with one another, discuss shared experiences, and exchange sports knowledge.

The event took place within the framework of the “Friendly Support” project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine’s Department of Education, Science and Sports.
