A ceremonial award event was held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs to recognize the winners of the intellectual online quiz “Gladiators of Law,” organized by the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education.
The event brought together students of grades 9–11 from 13 general secondary education institutions across various regions of Ukraine. A total of 54 schoolchildren participated in the quiz.
The meeting was opened by the Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov, who addressed the participants with a welcoming speech and wished them further success on their path to a legal profession.
Teachers and parents were awarded certificates of appreciation for their active role in preparing students for the quiz:
• Dmytro Hontar, law teacher at Kryvyi Rih Lyceum No. 113;
• Artur Sys, history and law teacher at Dnipro Lyceum No. 42;
• Yulia Balashova — mother of the winner, who raised her daughter with a strong sense of justice and love for the law.
During the event, university stakeholders — representatives of the legal community — congratulated the winners of the online quiz. Among them were: Olga Zakharova, Deputy Head of the Southern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice; Andrii Korenev, Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk District Administrative Court; Pavlo Hes, attorney-at-law.
The winners were:
• Yaroslav Zinchenko, a 10th-grade student of Kryvyi Rih Lyceum No. 113 — First Degree Diploma;
• Diana Balashova, a 9th-grade student of Vilnohirsk Lyceum No. 2 — First Degree Diploma;
• Yelyzaveta Bidzilia, a 10th-grade student of Dnipro Lyceum No. 42 — Second Degree Diploma.
The celebration concluded with a patriotic song and a group photo session to commemorate the vibrant occasion.
At DSUIA, there is a strong belief that promoting legal knowledge, developing a legal culture among youth, and supporting talented students are the foundation of Ukraine’s strong professional future.
