A cycle of physical training sessions for military veterans continues at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The initiative is organized by the Department of Special Physical Training.
According to experts, physical activity significantly accelerates medical rehabilitation processes. Regular workouts help strengthen muscles and ligaments and improve cardiovascular and respiratory function.
Additionally, rehabilitation specialists note that engaging in sports and communicating with peers in a “peer-to-peer” format improves cognitive functions. This is especially important for veterans who have experienced concussions or post-concussive syndrome.
During training sessions in the DSUIA gym, veterans are guided by qualified instructors from the Department of Special Physical Training. Specialists tailor exercise programs to each participant’s physical condition, making the sessions an integral part of adaptive sports.
According to the veterans themselves, these activities inspire them to continue developing in the field of sports and motivate them to lead active lives.
The event took place as part of the “Friendly Support” project initiated by the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
