During the meeting with the university leadership, possible directions for partnership were discussed.
A meeting was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) with David Lewis, Director of the UK-based non-governmental organization “Ethical Support Alliance” (ESA), a former UK police officer.
DSUIA Rector, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov, expressed gratitude to international colleagues for the support provided to Ukrainian law enforcement during Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The meeting was also attended by DSUIA First Vice-Rector Ihor Magdalina, Anti-Corruption Officer Ruslan Lupyr, Head of the Language Training Department, Doctor of Philology, Professor Iryna Tsarova, and Head of the International Cooperation Department Tetiana Chumachenko.
The event addressed, in particular, the introduction of practice-oriented classes with international lecturers, development of professional English skills for police officers using the CLIL methodology, implementation of anti-corruption training programs, and promotion of ethical conduct standards.
Emphasis was placed on ESA’s 10-point continuous professional development model as a tool to enhance the training quality of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces personnel. The possibility of jointly developing practical courses, trainings, situational scenarios, and providing methodological support to instructors was also discussed.
Following the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached on further steps to establish partnership and exchange experience.
