NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Participants competed in table tennis and tried their strength in the new game pétanque. The training was attended by the rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov, and the university’s vice-rectors.

Table tennis training sessions are held at DSUIA weekly. Military veterans are trained by Ukraine’s table tennis champions Vasyl Koval and Valerii Melnyk.

Pétanque is a new type of sports activity introduced with the support of the university’s leadership. The game promotes the physical and psychological rehabilitation of veterans, helping them recover and integrate into society.

Pétanque (French: pétanque) is a variety of boules, the goal of which is to, standing in a circle with both feet on the ground, throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball.

Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs will continue to promote the sports rehabilitation of military veterans.

The event took place within the framework of the “Friendly Support” project of the Department of Education, Science, and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
