Representative of DSUIA Participated in a Seminar on the Implementation of Inclusive Judo

The seminar was held by the Judo Federation of Ukraine in the city of Bila Tserkva. Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by senior lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training Marharyta Chobotko.

The event was attended by judo coaches and specialists from 23 regions of Ukraine. The focus was on the prospects of developing judo as an adaptive sport for military veterans. Challenges arising during training were discussed, in particular the adaptation of exercises to the needs of persons with disabilities, the creation of safe conditions, and the provision of accessible equipment.

Special attention was paid to the potential of adaptive judo as a means of physical and psychological rehabilitation of veterans. This sport contributes to health restoration, increased confidence, and social integration of defenders. Participants emphasized the necessity of developing this direction through the expansion of the network of sections, the training of qualified coaches, and the involvement of veterans in sports initiatives.

The seminar became a platform for the exchange of experience and planning further steps for the implementation of inclusive judo in Ukraine.
