“Azov. Angels of Mariupol”: DSUIA Cadets Honor the Memory of Fallen Ukrainian Defenders

NEWS

On the third anniversary of the terrorist attack in Olenivka, cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs visited the exhibition “Azov. Angels of Mariupol”, held at the Museum of the Ongoing Russian-Ukrainian War.

The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who perished in the Olenivka prison colony on July 29, 2022. A central symbol of the display is the destroyed metal bunk beds, serving as a stark reminder of the brutal crime against prisoners of war.

During the event, the cadets observed a moment of silence in honor of all fallen heroes, expressed their support to the families of the deceased, and explored the materials presented in the exhibition. These tell the story of Mariupol’s defense, the combat path of the Azov Regiment, and the inhumane conditions endured by captured soldiers.

Such initiatives foster awareness and a sense of responsibility among the younger generation to preserve the memory of both fallen and surviving heroes.
