DSUIA Cadet Becomes a Delegate of the VIII Congress of the “Ukrainian Student League”

Maria Khlivna, a higher education student at the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, honorably represented Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs at the three-day VIII Congress of the Public Union “Ukrainian Student League,” which took place in Kyiv.

The event brought together representatives from 90 higher education institutions of Ukraine and 15 public organizations working in the field of youth policy.

As part of the Congress, participants discussed ways to involve student youth in the legislative process together with Roman Hryshchuk, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science, and Innovation.

Maria Khlivna took part in a panel discussion on the topic “Universities for All? How to Build Accessibility in the Educational Space,” moderated by Tetiana Lomakina, the Advisor – Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Barrier-Free Access.

Maria also participated in a Q&A session titled “The Role of Students in the Development of the Ukrainian State.”

The Congress participants had the opportunity to visit the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, and the National Preserve “Saint Sophia of Kyiv.”

Special attention was given to establishing cooperation between student self-government bodies of Ukrainian universities and the development of their communication platform.
