At the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, first-year cadets from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine successfully defended their internship reports.
The cadets, studying at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty 081 “Law,” completed their internships in units of the National Police of Ukraine across Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. During the practice, they became acquainted with the specific features of law enforcement work and developed practical skills in real-life conditions.
The final defense was attended by Police Lieutenant Colonel Vladyslav Harichev, Head of the Administrative Practice and Planning Unit of the Preventive Activities Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, along with university instructors.
The assessment included elements of a police-themed quest, where cadets solved situational tasks related to their future professional responsibilities. Special emphasis was placed on scenarios that may occur under martial law conditions.
This internship was a vital stage in the cadets’ professional training, helping them build competencies required for effective performance in their future roles. It also contributed to the development of analytical thinking, the ability to respond swiftly to challenges, and teamwork skills — all of which are crucial for careers in law enforcement.
