The Department of Firearms Training organized an elective session for first-year cadets of the Faculty of Criminal Police Training at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA).
The session, focused on developing firearm handling skills and weapon maintenance, was conducted by Oleksandr Movchan — a former special forces serviceman and currently a university employee.
Cadets learned about the main components of an assault rifle, practiced basic techniques and rules of shooting, and mastered proper body positioning during firing. Special attention was given to key parts of the firearm that require thorough cleaning and lubrication. Oleksandr Movchan provided a detailed explanation of the rifle disassembly and reassembly procedures, as well as the use of cleaning rods and lubricants to ensure proper weapon maintenance.
Thanks to Oleksandr Movchan’s professional background and personalized approach, the cadets gained valuable knowledge and practical skills that will serve as a foundation for their future training and effective service performance.
