Partnership in Action: Introductory Session on International Support for Ukraine Held at DSUIA

NEWS

An educational session on international support for Ukraine from the Republic of Latvia was recently held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA). The event was led by Head of the Social and Humanitarian Work Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nataliia Karnaukh.

The lecture was part of an educational module developed following the participation of DSUIA representatives in an international program in Latvia. The trip was organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with support from the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia, the Latvian association “Mini-Pitch,” and the Riga City Council.

During the session, the key areas of support provided by Latvia since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion were outlined. Topics included military-technical assistance (such as the supply of weapons, equipment, and drones), financial aid, humanitarian initiatives, and medical support. Special attention was given to Latvia’s involvement in training Ukrainian military personnel through international programs, coordination in the field of cyber defense, and humanitarian demining efforts in Ukraine.

The lecture also emphasized the systematic cooperation between Latvian authorities, municipalities, non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions, which collectively show strong solidarity with Ukraine. Cadets discussed the importance of interstate dialogue, particularly among youth, educational institutions, and law enforcement agencies.

Such events contribute to fostering a patriotic worldview, deepening cadets’ knowledge of international support for Ukraine, and strengthening their understanding of the role of foreign policy partnerships during wartime.
