Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs continues to systematically diversify sports activities for military veterans undergoing rehabilitation and social adaptation at the university’s facilities. One of the directions has been familiarization with the game of pétanque, which is already actively practiced at a newly created court.
Pétanque is not only a strategic game for precision and coordination but also an effective way to support physical activity and psychological relief. The game promotes the development of concentration, motor skills, interpersonal interaction, and team spirit. For participants with combat experience, it is also an opportunity to return to an active lifestyle in a safe and friendly environment.
The introduction of such initiatives within the framework of the university’s social-rehabilitation work is a component of a holistic approach to supporting veterans, combining physical activity, communication, and psychological recovery.
