At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, the Department of Tactical-Special Training conducted an optional training session for first-year cadets on the topic “Basics of Mine Safety”.
Cadets familiarized themselves with explosive devices, their characteristics, and principles of safe handling.
The head of the department, Police Major Vadym Fursa, emphasized the importance of the safety component, especially in wartime conditions.
The instructor stressed that a police officer must know the principles of mine safety, as one of the police tasks is service and ensuring the safety of the civilian population in deoccupied territories, which are contaminated with explosive devices.
The sessions contributed to the formation in cadets of skills for rapid response to reports and notifications about the detection of explosive devices, vigilance, and responsibility necessary for performing official duties.
