Specialists of the Psychological Support Department of DSUIA conduct psychological support measures for first-year cadets, aimed at facilitating adaptation to education in the conditions of a higher education institution.
The first stage of the psychologists’ work was the study of the psycho-emotional state of the cadets. Within the framework of the training camp, psychologist Anzhelika Moroz conducted a comprehensive psychodiagnostic study to assess the psychological state of first-year cadets and help them adapt to new conditions. Participants learned about the peculiarities of the adaptation period, manifestations of maladaptation, and ways to overcome them. The results of the study will allow specialists to organize individual and group psychoprophylactic work.
Cadets received booklets with advice on adaptation to education and service in wartime conditions. They contain exercises for stabilizing the psycho-emotional state, recommendations for providing psychological assistance to others, and useful information.
In addition, an informational-motivational session was held for first-year cadets on the topic “Formation of Self-Organization Skills and Time Management”. The event was aimed at developing skills to effectively plan time, fostering self-discipline, and forming self-organization skills. Video materials, examples from the work of practical police units, and interactive exercises were used. Special attention was paid to the connection between self-discipline and future service in the National Police of Ukraine.
Psychologist of DSUIA Daria Artemenko noted: “Familiarizing cadets with topics of self-organization, self-discipline, and time management contributes not only to adaptation to education and daily life but also to the formation of professional qualities for future service”.
The head of the Psychological Support Department, Serhii Vyshnevskyi, emphasized that the development of self-discipline and self-organization skills is key to the professional development of cadets. Such sessions foster an active life position, responsibility, and the ability to act effectively in conditions of limited time.
