The practical training was conducted by the Psychological Support Department of DSUIA for trainees of the Center for Primary Professional Training “Police Academy”.
During the training, participants examined the mechanisms of emergence, manifestations, and signs of unstable psychological states during emergency or psychotraumatic events. Trainees familiarized themselves with the algorithm of crisis psychological intervention, as well as methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine regarding the provision of first psychological assistance. Assimilation of knowledge was facilitated by video materials illustrating affective states and analysis of real cases from the practice of university psychologists.
Participants performed group role-playing exercises that helped identify typical mistakes and exchange experiences. Trainees actively asked questions and discussed the topics of the training.
Systematic training in the basics of crisis psychological intervention is an integral part of the professional training of a police officer in wartime conditions. It strengthens psychological resilience and prevents severe psychological states among the population and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
