The Department of Tactical-Special Training of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs conducted an elective course on tactical medicine for first-year cadets.
The event is aimed at forming in future law enforcement officers practical skills necessary for work in extreme conditions.
During the course, cadets mastered the basics of providing pre-medical assistance. In particular, they learned to correctly apply hemostatic tourniquets and mastered various methods of transporting victims, which is critically important in emergency situations.
Tactical medicine is one of the key components of police training, especially in wartime conditions. Knowledge of pre-medical assistance allows for quick response to injuries, saving lives, and maintaining the safety of citizens and colleagues. The skills acquired during the course contribute to the formation of confidence, responsibility, and readiness to act in crisis situations, which is the basis of effective service in the National Police of Ukraine.
