Knot-Tying as One of the Elements of Tactical and Physical Training of Cadets

NEWS

The Department of Special Physical Training of DSUIA organized an elective course for first-year cadets dedicated to knot-tying. The event became an important step in preparing future law enforcement officers for performing official tasks in extreme conditions.

The course was conducted by the Head of the Department of Special Physical Training of DSUIA, Major of Police Viktor Bohuslavskyi, with the involvement of an invited specialist – the Deputy Director for Educational Work of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev, Captain of Police Andrii Kiyko. Cadets learned to tie strong knots that are easily tied and untied, which is critically important in field conditions.

Near the frontline or during the evacuation of civilians and victims, ropes help to extract stuck equipment, transport the wounded, or arrange temporary shelters. Such skills increase the effectiveness of law enforcement officers’ actions in crisis situations. The event contributed to the development of practical skills, team interaction, and readiness for the challenges of service in the National Police of Ukraine.
