Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs continues cooperation with the public organization JustGroup within the framework of the signed memorandum.
Recently, a series of events aimed at improving the qualifications of law enforcement officers and teachers of higher education institutions was held.
JustGroup organized a series of training programs on procedural interviewing for investigators of the National Police of Ukraine, the SBU, NABU detectives, prosecutors, and teachers of higher education institutions. The curator and trainer of these activities was the professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure of DSUIA, Major of Police Viktoriia Rogalska.
Under the mentorship of experienced trainers – NPU investigators, NABU detectives, prosecutors, and representatives of the International Criminal Court – participants mastered modern methodologies of procedural interviewing.
Within the framework of one of the programs, the head of the Department of the Office of the Prosecutor General, Yurii Bielousov, presented specialized rooms for procedural interviewing.
In addition to the basic programs “Procedural Interview. Basic,” Viktoriia Rogalska joined the training for trainers on the development of a new program “Procedural Interview. Crimes Based on Intolerance,” organized by JustGroup in cooperation with Social Action Centre. This program is aimed at investigators, prosecutors, and teachers of higher education institutions, including those of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine system. Also, Viktoriia Rogalska acted as one of the judges during the evaluation of research by 22 law students from 10 higher education institutions, including DSUIA, within the framework of the research club “StudLab for Justice,” conducted by JustGroup in partnership with the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and the Supreme Court.
The next steps in the cooperation between DSUIA and JustGroup will include the preparation of joint projects, as well as the organization of events to promote the practice of procedural interviewing in the activities of prosecutorial bodies, pre-trial investigation (in particular, the NPU), and in the educational process.
