Meeting with Heroes: First-Year Students of DSUIA Communicated with Military Veterans

On the Day of Remembrance of Ukraine’s Defenders, a meeting of first-year students with military veterans took place at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and a minute of silence in honor of the fallen Defenders.

The cadets communicated with the advisor to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration on veteran policy issues, Bohdan Ilchenko, volunteer veteran Oleksandr Pivtoratskyi, laboratory assistant of the Department of Tactical-Special Training of DSUIA, Illia Norkin, and also the deputy head of the university course, Ivan Zmiievskyi.

The First Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Ihor Mahdalina, addressed the cadets, emphasizing that thanks to the dedication of veterans, young people have the opportunity to study and prepare for professional service. The veterans shared stories of their combat path, spoke about the challenges of war, and inspired the cadets to diligent study, discipline, and devotion to Ukraine.

The meeting became an important element of patriotic education. It deepened the cadets’ understanding of the importance of sacrifice, courage, and unity, strengthened their aspiration to serve the Motherland and prepare to protect its interests.

At the end of the event, the guests were presented with letters of gratitude from the Rector of DSUIA, Colonel of Police Oleksandr Morgunov.
