During the session, key issues of mine safety were discussed, along with mechanisms for preventing and responding to threats related to the detection of explosive objects in educational institutions.
The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure of DSUIA. The speakers were representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region: Chief Inspector of Department 6 of the Dnipro District Civil Protection and Preventive Activities Office, Major of the Civil Protection Service Olha Petrenko, and Deputy Head of the Directorate – Head of Department 2 of the Dnipro District Civil Protection and Preventive Activities Office, Colonel of the Civil Protection Service Ihor Myroniuk.
During the lecture, participants reviewed the identification of explosive objects and rules of conduct upon their discovery, as well as mechanisms for responding to threats with a clear distribution of roles and responsibilities among the police, the SES, and the administration of educational institutions.
The speakers emphasized the importance of interagency coordination, provided participants with practical advice on organizing evacuation measures, and highlighted the need for regular drills. The lecture became an important contribution to raising police officers’ awareness regarding the safety of participants in the educational process and the prevention of tragic consequences.
