The Department of Psychological Support of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs held an adaptation event for first-year cadets.
Successful adaptation to new learning and living conditions is a key factor influencing the academic performance of cadets. For them, this is particularly important, as they must adjust to specific requirements and discipline.
Head of the Department of Psychological Support of DSUIA, Serhii Vyshnevskyi, congratulated the future police officers on receiving the status of cadet, emphasizing that it is not only an honorable but also a highly responsible title.
During the session conducted by psychologist Anzhelika Moroz, cadets performed psychological exercises. These activities helped them consolidate their knowledge about adaptation to new conditions, gain deeper self-awareness, and analyze their own needs to assess how fully they are being met in different spheres of life. Such exercises also contribute to the development of interpersonal communication skills and effective conflict resolution.
The cadets demonstrated a high level of interest and openness. They actively asked questions, shared their experiences, and completed the tasks. According to specialists, this indicates the future police officers’ awareness of the importance of psychological health and their readiness to work on self-improvement.
