Binary Classes on Criminalistics: Practical Training of DSUIA Cadets

At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a series of binary classes on criminalistics continues for cadets of the graduating courses of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU and the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU.

The Head of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training of DSUIA, Police Major Hanna Bidniak, together with the Senior Forensic Expert of the Donetsk Research Forensic Center, Yevhen Syzonenko, reviewed typical situations relevant in modern conditions.

Attention was focused on the specifics of working with different categories of objects, problems of examining deformed bullets, as well as possibilities of identifying hunting weapons and foreign-made weapons.

Cadets familiarized themselves with the specifics of appointing and conducting forensic examination of weapons, including experimental shooting. Emphasis was separately placed on the most common mistakes during the preparation of the resolution for conducting a forensic examination and the packaging of objects.
