Mastery from a Champion: Dmytro Shelesko Conducts Open Muay Thai Training at DSUIA

An open Muay Thai training session was held at DSUIA, involving cadets, students of the Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev, and police officers.

On September 12, 2025, Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) hosted an open Muay Thai training session.

Participants included members of the Dnipropetrovsk Region National Police Main Directorate’s hand-to-hand combat team, DSUIA cadets, and students of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after Oleksandr Hostishchev.

The training was led by Dmytro Shelesko, an investigator from the Nikopol District Police Department, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, winner of the 2025 World Games, 2025 world champion, and two-time European Muay Thai champion, alongside Yegor Skurikhin, an International Master of Sports.

Participants practiced striking techniques, close-range work, and clinching, honing their skills in sparring sessions. Special emphasis was placed on precision and safety.

Such training sessions promote physical fitness, discipline, and professional skills. They foster team spirit and popularize martial arts as a means of physical and psychological strengthening.
