Interesting about history: lecture on the 170th anniversary of Dmytro Yavornytsky at DSUIA

For students of the Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA, a lecture on the life, scientific, and creative legacy of Dmytro Yavornytsky was held.

As part of mastering the academic discipline “History and Culture of Ukraine” at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a lecture dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Ukrainian historian, ethnographer, archaeologist, and researcher of Cossack history Dmytro Yavornytsky was held. The event was organized for students of higher education in the specialty “Psychology” of the Institute of Law and Innovative Education.

The lecture was delivered by Associate Professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of DSUIA Oleh Levin, and the special guest was the director of the D. I. Yavornytsky Memorial House-Museum Yana Tymoshenko. The students learned about the multifaceted activities of the scholar, his contribution to the study of Cossack history, and the preservation of Ukrainian cultural heritage.

The event allowed students to deepen their knowledge of the history and culture of Ukraine, as well as to discover the significance of Yavornytsky’s scientific legacy, which remains relevant for modern Ukraine. Such initiatives strengthen the patriotic upbringing of youth and deepen their interest in Ukrainian culture.
