Protection of children’s rights and prevention of offenses among minors: binary training at DSUIA

The event was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure for police officers of the Educational Safety Service, who are undergoing specialization at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

The training was attended by an inspector of the Juvenile Prevention Unit of the Preventive Activity Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Senior Police Lieutenant Daryna Dovhopola.

During the meeting, the main aspects of holding minors administratively liable were considered in detail. Daryna Dovhopola explained which actions fall under administrative offenses and what consequences await violators. Particular attention was paid to the need to respect the rights of the child during the implementation of procedural actions.

The key issue was the discussion of the algorithm of actions in cases where a child becomes a victim of cruel treatment by adults. Law enforcement officers analyzed the signs of cruel treatment, methods of identifying such cases, and the response procedure. The importance of close cooperation between the police, social services, and educators to ensure comprehensive support for affected children was emphasized.

Daryna Dovhopola noted that the united efforts of law enforcement officers, social services, and educators contribute to creating a safe environment for children and protecting them from any forms of violence and exploitation.
