New opportunities for heroes: military veterans received driver’s licenses

NEWS

Military veterans Mykhailo and Dmytro, graduates of the DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School, received category “B” licenses, opening new prospects for themselves.

Mykhailo and Dmytro went through a similar path: they joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, defended the state from rf aggression, and received injuries.

The veterans learned about the DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School from the Internet network and after rehabilitation decided to master new skills. They completed the theoretical course online, and practical training – under the guidance of experienced university instructors. Thanks to perseverance and the support of instructors, Mykhailo and Dmytro successfully passed exams, obtaining the right to drive a vehicle with an automatic transmission.

The licenses were presented to the graduates by DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov, and Head of the Automotive Training Department Yevheniy Khokhlov. They congratulated the veterans on their achievement, emphasizing their strength of spirit and commitment to self-development.

The DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School creates unique opportunities for people with disabilities, helping not only to master driving but also to gain confidence, improve quality of life, and expand prospects in everyday and professional life. This initiative is an important step toward social inclusion and support for veterans returning to civilian life.
