Veterans of DSUIA won at the “Na Khvyli” competition

Vyacheslav Kaistro and Oleh Sakhnov won first place in wheelchair basketball at the all-Ukrainian competition “Na Khvyli”.

From September 19 to 21, 2025, in Odesa, the all-Ukrainian competition for veterans “Na Khvyli” took place, gathering over 100 participants from various regions of Ukraine. Athletes competed in adaptive sports: wheelchair basketball, archery, rowing on simulators, and boccia, demonstrating strength of spirit and resilience.

DSUIA was represented by veterans Vyacheslav Kaistro and Oleh Sakhnov, who train at the university’s facilities. As part of the team, they won 1st place in the wheelchair basketball competition, demonstrating a high level of preparation, cohesive teamwork, and a drive for victory.

The event became a vivid example of promoting adaptive sports, social inclusion, and support for veterans. The victory of the DSUIA team underscores the importance of sports training at the university, which contributes to physical rehabilitation and motivation for new achievements.
