The event lasted two days and brought together representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Police of Ukraine, Armed Forces, National Guard, Security Service, State Bureau of Investigation, prosecutor’s office, judicial expert institutions, international partners from the USA and Canada.
The moderators were Assistant to the Head of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Lieutenant Colonel Yuliia Volkova, and Assistant to the Head of the Department of Support for the Activities of the Head of the National Police of Ukraine, polygraphologist, Police Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Vdovin.
The event was attended by Doctor of Psychological Sciences, forensic psychologist-expert, polygraphologist, President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Polygraphologists Tetiana Morozova, Acting Head of the Laboratory of Psychological, Linguistic and Other Types of Research of the Dnipropetrovsk Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine Anton Shmukin, representatives of the Main Directorate of the National Police and the Office of the Security Service in Dnipropetrovsk Region, and others.
During the second day, within the framework of the third discussion panel, the following issues were discussed:
– “Counteraction in polygraph practice: modern challenges and practical solutions”;
– “Peculiarities of using polygraph during the detection and documentation of collaborative activities”;
– “Forensic psychological expertise using polygraph during the investigation of serious and particularly serious crimes,” etc.
At the end of the event, Ihor Mahdalyna, who temporarily performs the duties of DSUIA Rector, emphasized the importance of polygraphologists’ work for maintaining legality and order in Ukraine, thanked the participants for their work, and presented relevant certificates.
