Practical Training Using the “Child-Friendly Crisis Room”

During the session, participants mastered the formula of effective interaction with children, the stages of interviewing, the role of involving individuals during interrogation (interview), as well as the procedural specifics of conducting interviews under martial law.

Alina Harkusha, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Ph.D. in Law, Associate Professor, Police Major, emphasized that the practical training aimed to develop practical skills regarding the peculiarities of interaction with children using the “Green Room” method and the “Barnahus” model.

The event was held within the framework of the training topic “Ensuring and Conducting Child-Friendly Criminal Proceedings” with the use of the “Child-Friendly Crisis Room” training facility, as part of the specialization program for police officers “Educational Safety Service”, supported by the Department of Advanced Training and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education.
