Caring for defenders: DSUIA psychologists provide support to military veterans

NEWS

DSUIA psychologists help war veterans adapt to civilian life, providing professional support and consultations.

The priority of psychologists’ work in current conditions is to support Ukraine’s defenders, who face danger and stress daily. The department’s activities are aimed at preserving mental health, facilitating veterans’ adaptation to civilian life conditions, and assisting in determining a new life trajectory.

Specialists of the DSUIA Psychological Support Department provide qualified assistance to participants of combat operations, veterans of the National Guard of Ukraine, Territorial Defense Forces, and other formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including persons with injuries and disabilities.

Psychologist for the direction of work with veterans Anzhelika Moroz participates in all events organized by DSUIA. She conducts individual consultations aimed at overcoming stress, fatigue, adaptation to new conditions, and finding internal resources. When necessary, the psychologist ensures the stabilization of the psycho-emotional state and provides emotional support in difficult life situations.

The head of the DSUIA Psychological Support Department, Serhii Vyshnevskyi, actively engages in work with university veterans: attends sports, educational, and cultural events, providing psychological and informational support, conducts trainings, motivational talks, and individual consultations for employed DSUIA veterans, and also organizes educational and pre-graduation practice for higher education students at the department.

The department’s specialists continuously improve their professional competence, enhancing skills in relevant directions.
